One of my favorite things to do when crafting is to alter stuff. It's crazy that I really enjoy doing it so much, but rarely seem to actually ever do it. Here are a few of my favorite altered items from the past.
Altered lunch box/pencil case for my niece. This was a birthday present for her 7th or 8th birthday.

Altered wooden box as a Hanukkah gift for a friend.
Altered file box for important papers here at work.
