Another Wedding Card

In my post last Saturday I mentioned that this month is the month of weddings for us.  Today's wedding is the third and final one of the month.  It also happens to by my cousin's wedding.  I am so happy for him and his bride to be.  They're a great couple and I think they'll have a lifetime of happiness together.

For this card I used Basic Grey's Picadilly Line and Vintage Photo distress ink along with a lot of distressing.  Hope you have a great day and Congratulations to T.J. and LeAnn!

Anniversary Card

Last week was my parent's 36th Wedding Anniversary.  I only hope that in 36 years Jason and I are still in love as much as we my parents are.  This is the card I made for them using Basic Grey's Picadilly line and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I hope you enjoy it and have a great day.

Altered Items

One of my favorite things to do when crafting is to alter stuff.  It's crazy that I really enjoy doing it so much, but rarely seem to actually ever do it.  Here are a few of my favorite altered items from the past.

Altered lunch box/pencil case for my niece.  This was a birthday present for her 7th or 8th birthday.

Altered Journal.

Altered wooden box as a Hanukkah gift for a friend.

Altered file box for important papers here at work.

Wedding card

This month is the month of weddings for us.  We were invited to 3 different wedding 3 weekends in a row.  This weekend is a very special wedding.  My brother is getting married.  I couldn't be happier for him and his bride to be.  They take their vows today!  I wish them a lifetime of happiness and love together.

For this card I used mainly cardstock, brushed corduroy distress ink, some brads from my stash that I can't remember who makes, Tim Holtz grungeboard hearts and Jack Frost Glimmer Mist.  I doodled in the tow corners and gave everything a healthy amount of distressing to really make all the layers pop from each other.  I hope you enjoy and Happy Wedding Day Jordan and Kristina!  Love you guys.

Father's Day Cards

I'm am lucky to have 4 wonderful men in my life that deserve honoring and love on Father's Day this year.  My husband, my father, my father-in-law, and my step-father-in-law.  Jason is an amazing husband to me and a great father for Kirk.  You can just tell that Kirk loves and looks up to his daddy so much.  Then there are all the Grandpas.  Kirk sure is one lucky little boy to have so many people love him so much.  He's just adored by the three of them.

Here are the cards I made for them for Father's Day.  I mainly used scraps and a lot of distress ink.  I hope you enjoy and that you all have a wonderful Father's Day this Sunday.

Happy Birthday to Me!

So today is my birthday.  I'm 32 years old today.  When did that happen?  It's like I was young and then suddenly I'm not anymore...Regardless on my age I'm loving life and loving where I'm at right now.  Today I'm actually driving back from Texas after a wonderful much needed week of vacation in beautiful Rockport and the beach.  Since the day is about me, I thought I'd share some older pages featuring yours truly here.  Me, me, me, me, me! ;)   I hope you enjoy them.

Nursery decor

Here's another older project that I did for Kirk's nursery.  The theme of his nursery is rocket ships and outer space.  I'm really happy with how everything for the nursery turned out.  I used the Rocket Age line by October Afternoon.  I also used a lot of ink, Glimmer Mist and Stickles. I made three altered canvases, a banner with Kirk's name on it (you can only barely see it in the last photo) and a solar system out of cardstock!  The solar system was crazy hard work.  It took forever, but it turned out so well and really makes the room.  Plus now that he's older Kirk loves looking at it.

Vacation

Today, for the first time in 3 years, I'm on vacation and I've been looking forward to this day for a LONG time.  We are going to Rockport, TX to be bums at my In-laws' beach house.  I can't wait and I am really looking forward to Kirk's first beach trip.  I think he'll love it.  In honor of our vacation I wanted to share some pages from our last Texas vacation.  That trip we spent our time in Sulphur Springs, Ennis and Fort Worth.  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really happy we are opting for Rockport this time around.
